Sales negotiation
A client says: 'Your solution is too cumbersome to deploy.' The salesperson simply replies: 'Too cumbersome to deploy?' The client, invited to clarify, spells out their real concern: they fear the burden on their already overstretched IT team.
Echo back the last two or three emotionally charged words, rising tone, then silence; the other party digs in of their own accord.
Surfaces the concrete objection without confrontation; the client feels listened to.
Repeated too often, the echo becomes noticeable and gives the impression of a parrot or an evasion.
